Buying accessories which carmakers call “genuine” always delivers that extra peace of mind. But times have changed. Until the medical industry doesn’t find a sure-shot cure for COVID-19, all everyone will be thinking is how to keep oneself protected. Maruti Suzuki agrees with that because it has introduced a new range of genuine accessories under the ‘Health and Hygiene’ category.
Whether you visit an authorised dealer or Maruti Suzuki’s website, you can now purchase the following products like face masks, gloves, disposable eye gear and car cabin partitioner. Here’s the price list:
Most of us are quite aware of what those products do. As for the car cabin partitioner, it is available for nearly all Maruti Suzuki models (new and old). The list includes old WagonR, Ritz, S-Cross, Ertiga, Dzire, Alto and Celerio. Maruti Suzuki claims that the plastic, transparent partition has polyvinyl chloride material in its composition and that it isn’t difficult to install. Other safety-related products, such as interior sanitiser are also available.
It isn’t the end of adding such products under the genuine accessories umbrella. India’s largest carmaker will be continuously expanding the category in question by adding more goods in the future. As things stand, no other carmaker has taken such an initiative to sell personal protective gear. Without a doubt, it is a welcome move from the Indo-Japanese brand.
Last month, Maruti Suzuki introduced a bunch of customised financial solutions for new car buyers. Also, it extended the last date for free service and warranty for customers to June 30, 2020. On the models front, there’s just one Maruti Suzuki that hasn’t completed the migration to BS6 (Bharat Stage 6) era yet – the S-Cross. That will happen in weeks to come.
