It was back in October last year when Jaguar unveiled the refreshed XF. Soon, it will be up for grabs in India. And if that excites you, here’s what adds the real zing to this development. The variant details are out. As we’ve noticed from recent Jaguar Land Rover launches, the new XF too will be offered in the more feature-packed R-Dynamic S trim. As for the number of variants, the count will end at two.

The first one will have P250 on its nameplate. That denotes the presence of a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 247bhp/365Nm. With that unit under the bonnet, the XF can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 6.9 seconds and reach 250kmph at full stretch. The other option is the D200 variant. With a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel mill generating 201bhp/430Nm, that can complete the 0-100kmph sprint in 7.6 seconds and clock 235kmph flat out. As standard, both derivatives come with 8-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. For the record, both those engines also do duty in the recently launched 2021 Range Rover Velar and the Jaguar F-Pace facelift.

As for the list of features, it will consist of 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps with DRLs and blacked-out trim elements at the front, side and rear. Indoors, the new XF will offer stuff like 10-colour ambient lighting, 12-way powered driver’s seat with memory function, grained leather seats and an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Falling under the safety umbrella are features like a 3D surround camera, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control with speed limiter.

Once launched, the Jaguar XF facelift will renew its rivalry with the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Volvo S90 and the Audi A6. However, before launching the new XF, expect Jaguar Land Rover India to reveal the prices of the new Discovery SUV.
