Saar: While both new initiatives are currently available only in Cochin, the German carmaker plans to expand these services across India in the next twelve months.

Volkswagen has launched two new services to strengthen its sales channel – Corporate Business Centre and Volkswagen Secure. Both new initiatives are currently available only in Cochin. However, the German carmaker is aiming to expand these services across India in the next twelve months.

So, what are these new services? Let’s start with Volkswagen Secure. It is a residual value initiative that loops-in only the Volkswagen Tiguan. With this initiative, customers can buy the SUV now at a 55 per cent residual value and, after a period of 36 months, will get four options from the carmaker:

  • Upgrade to another model
  • Retain the car by paying the remaining amount
  • Refinance the car from Volkswagen Financial Services for retaining the car
  • Return the car to Volkswagen

Over to the other initiative – Corporate Business Centre (CBC). As the name suggests, Volkswagen India is willing to tie up with various companies in India in order to provide suitable cars. The company said that a “dedicated team providing curated services to kinds of businesses across sectors” will be set up. Other services under the CBC will include:

  • Relationship manager at the dealership
  • Tailor-made corporate offers
  • Trade-in offers
  • Loyalty offers
  • Free pick-up and drop
  • Value-added services at discounted prices
  • Customised retail finance produces from Volkswagen Financial Services
  • Assured buy-back options
  • Exclusive privileges on Volkswagen services

Here’s what Steffen Knapp, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said in an official release:

“Volkswagen Secure and Corporate Business Centre are excellent initiatives that make premium mobility more affordable and accessible to our customers in India. With a vision to achieve a 3% market share in the next five years, we’ve been working towards strengthening our businesses. Keeping customers at the centre, we’re extremely ecstatic about launching these initiatives with the confidence of expanding these services Pan India and widen the Volkswagen family.”

We all know that the Volkswagen Group is extremely serious about turning its game around in India. Earlier this year, it even unveiled its plans under the ‘India 2.0 project’, which will see Skoda take the leading role for Volkswagen Group in India.
