In September last year, Tata Motors celebrated Nexon’s first anniversary with two limited edition variants – Kraz and Kraz+. Well, we are in September of this year and the sub-4 metre SUV has turned two! To celebrate this occasion, Tata Motors is set to relaunch Kraz and Kraz+ variants again. This time, however, the fluorescent green accents have been ditched in favour of equally shiny orange ones. We managed to spot a derivative in a dealer’s yard in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
No points for guessing, the orange accents are exactly where the green ones were last year. In other words, the wheel covers, front grille, ORVMs, stitching on the seats and surrounds of AC vents are highlighted with the bright orange paint. Apart from that, the tailgate and the centre console (only in Kraz+) will wear the Kraz/Kraz+ badges. Some of the interior bits, such as on the steering wheel and the dashboard, will be finished in piano black. Finally, the exteriors are finished in Tromso Black body colour with a sonic-silver dual-tone roof.
In all likelihood, the Kraz and Kraz+ iterations will be based on the XM and XT+ trims of the Nexon. So, features such as protective cladding on the outside, 15-inch steel rims with full wheel covers, a ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman Kardon, a multifunction steering wheel and remote central locking will be available in both. However, the Kraz+ will differentiate itself with added features like rear AC vents, front fog lamps with cornering function, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rear parcel shelf and an 8-speaker sound system.
Both limited editions will be available with petrol and diesel power-plants. Where the 1.2-litre, turbo-petrol is good for 108hp/170Nm, the 1.5-litre, turbo-diesel pumps out 108hp/260Nm. The only transmission on offer with be the 6-speed manual. As far as pricing is concerned, they will attract a slight premium over their corresponding standard variants.
is rear wiper available or not ?
and white colour model available ?
Hi Rohit!
Thanks for your message.
We can’t confirm what features it will have. The car is yet to go on sale.
In all likelihood, the rear wiper and the white shade will be given a miss for the Nexon Kraz/Kraz+.
