Saar: There is a choice of over 70 colours and patterns for the standard and Select Plus variants of the Pajero Sport.
Mitsubishi Motors India has silently introduced customisation options for its Pajero Sport SUV. Called Splash Customisation, it is available on the standard and Select Plus variants of the Pajero Sport. What is it? Essentially, it is a customised paint job for the exterior and that’s it.
What you need to do is first select the model variant – standard or Select Plus. Next, choose what pattern out of the seven pre-defined ones you want on the SUV. With that out of the way, you will be given a choice of 5 dual-tone shades, such as black and white, black and blue, red and black, yellow, and white and silver and white. The idea is to set your Pajero Sport apart from the rest.
What do you need to pay for Splash customisation? Here it is:
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Price List (ex-showroom)
Variant | Without Splash | With Splash |
---|---|---|
AT | Rs 28.280 Lakh | Rs 28.855 Lakh |
MT | Rs 28.750 Lakh | Rs 29.325 Lakh |
Select Plus AT | Rs 29.450 Lakh | Rs 30.025 Lakh |
Select Plus MT | Rs 29.928 Lakh | Rs 30.503 Lakh |
For the added flair, you will be paying an extra Rs 57,500. That is not a bad offer, considering it will give your beloved Pajero Sport the outlook that matches your style!
Mechanically, all variants of the Pajero Sport are identical. They are powered by a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine that is tuned to produce 178PS of power and 350Nm of torque. Mitsubishi offers the engine with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed automatic. In case you are wondering why the manual variants are dearer than their automatic counterparts, that’s because all of them come with four-wheel-drive, with a low range gearbox, as standard.
Apart from Pajero Sport, the only other car on offer from Mitsubishi in India is the Outlander. Unlike the Pajero Sport, the Outlander is available in just one variant and one trim. The other major differences between the two models is that the Outlander is powered by a petrol engine. The company has been accepting booking for it since April this year, and while the price has not been officially announced yet, we know what it is.
