Have you been eyeing the D-Max V-Cross? Or maybe you like the underdog MU-X? In either case, now is the time to sort out the finances and head over to the nearest Isuzu dealership. The Japanese firm has devised offers for both its commercial as well as personal vehicles. Depending on which model and variant you choose, the total savings range from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh.
All variants of the S-Cab, D-Max (both are commercial vehicles) and the MU-X are part of the offers campaign. As mentioned above, the maximum savings of Rs 2 lakh applies to the most expensive variant of the MU-X, which costs Rs 29.32 lakh. Something is missing. Oh, yes! The D-Max V-Cross! Unfortunately, only the base variant, which costs Rs 16.55 lakh, is available with offers.
Although Isuzu has not bothered to explain the model-wise benefits available in detail, it did mention that they “translate to an approximate equivalent of 10 per cent of the taxes on these vehicles.” The most important thing to note is that these offers are available until October 31, 2019.
After launching the refreshed D-Max V-Cross in June this year, Isuzu introduced a limited edition Z-Prestige variant of the pickup last month. With a price tag of Rs 19.99 lakh, it is not only the most powerful and the most expensive in the range but also the only one with an automatic transmission. Under its bonnet is a 1.9-litre, turbo-diesel engine which pumps out 148hp/350Nm. That’s 14hp/30Nm more than the 2.5-litre diesel mill that does duty in the rest of the line-up.
The D-Max V-Cross does not have a direct competitor in India. The MU-X, on the other hand, is a potent alternative to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the Mahindra Alturas G4. Like all other players in India, Isuzu will be upgrading its models to comply with Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) levels of emission norms before we enter the next fiscal year. In other words, get an Isuzu now before their prices go up by a considerable margin.
