Picking a shade from the brochure is easy and predictable. However, asking the brand to prepare something unique demands time, money and a fair amount of gut. Let’s face it – when you enter the world of colour options, confusion can get the better of you. But, if you keep your head into it and get it right, there’s nothing else that can better complement your personality.
Porsche is one brand that offers a plethora of colour options for all its cars. And some of the recent deliveries that it made in India shows the worm of personalisation is catching on. Manolito Vujicic, the head honcho, confirms that in 2021, Porsche has handed over 20 uniquely colours cars. He further added:
With colour palettes playing a huge role in customisation, we would like to continue the trend and help make each car as individual as our customers themselves.
Examples? There was a 911 Carrera S Coupe, finished in Lava Orange, was delivered in Chandigarh. Also, a yellow 911 Carrera S Cabriolet with red interiors was handed over to a customer from the carmaker’s outlet in the national capital. Another one – a buyer took delivery of the new 911 in GT Silver Metallic in Ahmedabad.
There are more deliveries with head-turning colour schemes in the pipeline. Soon, India’s first Mamba Green Panamera will meet its buyer. Apart from that, Porsche will deliver a Cayenne Coupe finished in Carmine Red and a Cashmere Beige Cayenne.
India, as a market, is a promising one for Porsche. Sure, it won’t sell stuff in the millions, but the sales performance is improving. That claim is based on Q1 2021 sales, which outgrew that of 2020 by 52 per cent. The Panamera did very well for the brand. Towards the end of March, Porsche delivered one every week (on average). Plans for this year include the introduction of the refreshed Macan, which broke cover earlier this month.
So, I ask you again, what colour would you choose for your favourite Porsche?
