To reach and cater to more customers, Ford India has opened a new dealership in Goa. It goes by the name Kings Ford, located at Survey No. 49/3A & 49/4, Castle Waddo, off NH-17, Nagoa, Verna, South Goa. The facility has a showroom spread over 4,340 sq. ft. and a workshop over an area of 25,500 sq. ft. There are eleven mechanical bays and eight body shop booths. Ford says that the dealership has all the necessary elements to gain the 3S badge – sales, service and spare parts.
Vinay Raina, who is the executive director of marketing, sales and service at Ford India, said:
Introduction of Kings Ford demonstrates our commitment to delivering a differentiated ownership and brand experience to the people of Goa.
The company will practice ‘Sub Assembly Levels of Repairs’ at its newest touchpoint. It means that the carmaker will enable considerable savings in overall ownership costs by splitting open an auto part to its sub-components. Customers residing in Goa can book appointments for sales or service either by calling the dealership directly or take the Dial-A-Ford route.
Presently, Ford sells five models in India – Figo, Aspire, Freestyle, EcoSport and Endeavour. The Mustang GT, which was on sale for a while in the country, is no longer up for grabs. That said, Ford could bring in the updated version soon. Like the previous one, the newer version will also be brought as a direct import.
Earlier this month, Ford introduced the EcoSport SE. Slotting between the Titanium and S trim levels, the newly launched derivative’s actual highlight is the absence of a tail-mounted spare wheel. In fact, it doesn’t have one at all. Instead, it comes with a tyre puncture kit, which should help owners repair a tyre within minutes if used per given directions.
Besides continuing to strengthen its sales and service network in India, Ford will also introduce new models. It is working on an all-new EcoSport and a compact SUV which will fall in the same segment as the Tata Harrier, MG Hector and the Hyundai Creta.
