People, this is the Porsche Panamera 4 10 Years Edition. Yes, there is a gap between ‘4’ and ‘10’! It costs Rs 1.6 crore, or roughly about Rs 11 lakh more than the standard Panamera 4. As the name suggests, Porsche created this unique version to celebrate the luxury saloon’s tenth anniversary. For the record, the landmark birthday was last year, and this model first broke cover in October 2019.

To create this special edition, Porsche took the standard Panamera 4 and tarted it up with more goodness. For instance, it comes with satin-gloss White Gold Metallic Sport Design wheels measuring 21 inches in diameter. Accompanying them are a couple of logos on the front doors with the lettering ‘Panamera 10’. The same badge is on the door sills, the seats and the on front passenger-side of the dashboard. Porsche has used partial leather (black) throughout the interior, with a contrasting white gold stitching.

Not impressed? Porsche anticipated that and hence equipped the car with more standard equipment. Features like LED matrix headlights, Lane Change Assist and Park Assist with a rear-view camera. The Panamera 4 10 Years Edition also packs a panoramic sunroof, 14-way comfort seats, soft close doors, digital radio and a Bose sound system. On the mechanical front, there’s adaptive three-chamber air suspension, including Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Power Steering Plus. All-in-all, no one can complain about the price difference highlighted above.

Powering the Panamera 4 10 Years Edition is a 2.9-litre, twin-turbo V6 that pumps out 326bhp/450Nm. An 8-speed PDK handles transmission duties and transfers the oomph to four corners via an all-wheel-drive system. The setup is enough for a 0-100kmph sprint time of 5.5 seconds (5.3 seconds with Sport Chrono Package) and a top speed of 262kmph.

On charm-o-meter (only if such a thing existed!), the Panamera competes with Maserati Quattroporte. Price-wise, however, it costs around the same as the BMW M5 Competition.
