The Skoda Vision iV Concept – a show model that will be showcased in flesh at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. About a week ago, Skoda released a couple of sketches to gives us lot a glimpse of what the show car will look like from the outside. Now, however, the Czech carmaker has released a similar sort of drawing for the interior. By what we can see, it looks to be a spacious and a rather unorthodox kind of cabin. But then that’s the case with all concept cars, isn’t it!

As mentioned before, the Vision iV Concept will become the first all-electric model to wear the Skoda badge. Inside, the floating infotainment display is accompanied by a fully-digital instrument cluster (Virtual Cockpit). The two-step dashboard layout is minimalistic in aesthetics but seems classy nevertheless. Skoda claims that there is plenty of storage space between the front two seats, while the reach for the centre console, which isn’t moulded with the dashboard, is easy.

The centre console has two wireless charging docks. That means two mobile phones can be charged inductively side-by-side. What’s more, both mobile phones can simultaneously connect with the infotainment system. The two-spoke steering wheel ditches the traditional circular form and features buttons to control the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. Skoda says that the instrument panel’s “stitching draw inspiration from the front of the vehicle.”

Underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB) platform, the Skoda Vision iV Concept will be toned down for production and will enter the factory floor sometime next year. Over the next four years, the Czech brand will invest nearly two billion euros in alternative drive systems and new mobility services. The carmaker has set itself an aim to introduce ten electrified models by the end of 2022. That list will not only include pure electric vehicles but also strong and plug-in hybrids.
